It was suggested that I change the name of the blog after number 60 and certainly appreciate the input. That is my hope that people are reading the musings and thoughts that I have. I have, however, decided that the name, for now sticks. It is one that while, the pandemic seems to be waning and that is when I started writing it, we can all hope it is, there are always challenges on the horizon and, therefore, those are what this blog is truly all about. Of course, I love to share my moments, business, personal, and every combination in between, and sometimes need to vent about the issues of the world as they relate to me, my business, and my personal life, which as always, is complicated.
Weathering the Storm is really about life and what we do with it and how we handle it. The challenges are there all the time, so I will always be weathering the storm as everyone else will. I read the posts of friends, and clients and colleagues all the time on Facebook, and we all face these challenges and I try to be supportive. These challenges, some daily, some, not so often, but the longer we are around, the more challenges we face. We can’t avoid them. It is how we handle them and how those who are there to support us, handle them. Each day brings new challenges, and I am up for those challenges. I thrive on the chaos that has defined who I am and what I am all about. Alan Alda had a quote which is on a door hanging, which is packed away in my things. He said, God forbid that life should be easy. It is a line from one of the M*A*S*H episodes, which as you may or may not know is my favorite TV show of all time. I also have the collection on DVD’s, but it too, is packed away with all the other stuff. As I said earlier, I will get back to clear out the stuff, but priorities are moving forward on several fronts including being with Rosa in Italy and even sooner, but those details will be shared in a later blog, as we get closer to be together in person again. Stay tuned.
As an aside, I just read her 2nd blog and it is a very good read. I love her blog style and how she uses the list method which I like. I used to read a book called the Book of Lists, and other lists over time. I don’t think in any of my blogs, I have done lists, but since spring is here and travel is in full swing, where do you want to travel in the future. If you are already booked with me, you can share that if you can respond, if not what is on your bucket list for travel? Let’s make a list!!! Now, all we must do is get the United States government to lift the covid test requirement to return to America as other countries have done to enter their countries. Remember, this blog is about challenges and how we handle them. What challenges you have faced and how have you weathered the storm these two plus years? Let’s make a list and weather the storm together. As always, I am interested in your thoughts, comments, questions and adding to the discourse is always appreciated be in on the site itself or on Facebook, Twitter or wherever you read this. Thank you for your support of this small business and it is truly appreciated!!! Share the knowledge
