Tis the season as they say and it certainly has been, but we will save that for a future blog as we get into December. The Thanksgiving holiday, here in America, is upon us and it has a whole different vibe than last year during the depths of the pandemic. Like most people, we reflect on this time past, the present and what the future holds and for me, I have much to for which to be thankful. I am still here and at times, I was not sure I would be. I have weathered the storm and not just survived, and, yes, I am a survivor, and many people are in their own way. I thrived, deciding that doing something to help my own cause, taking action, is better than wallowing in self pity or making excuses. I made sure that the time was well spent and wanted no regrets. I was not going to dwell on the negative. It is not energy worth spending, so I stayed positive throughout. I owe so much gratitude to many people throughout this journey. And I did it on many fronts, with my health, my work situation, the business and in my personal life. While still not out of the woods, I am making it through and thankful for that and will always be.
What am I thankful for? I am thankful for the encouragement of friends, family, colleagues and my valued clients. I am thankful that travel has not passed me by and not only have I been able to travel once again, been able to plan travel adventures for my clients which is absolutely my passion. I live and breathe travel in every way and excited every time someone wants me to plan their next travel adventure. It is what I am all about. Of course, changing my lifestyle, so that I could be active again and not become a statistic. It has been about 18 months since I started my healthy journey and while there was an ebb and flow, I have settled into a healthier lifestyle and eating smarter and exercising regularly. It will be part of me going forward, even if I sneak a treat once in a while. Most importantly, I am thankful for Rosa, who came into my life in February 2020. And as you all know, at least those of you who have read my blogs, my Facebook posts, and most recently, seen our Facebook Live together from Positano or have heard me, and many of you have, speak of her. I am so lucky that she and I met. She inspired me to change my lifestyle and get healthier, but more importantly, I am thankful for the companionship we have and the relationship between us. She is the best thing to ever happen to me and we are together, even from many kilometers apart. Grazie Mille!!! Take this time to reflect and consider that for which you are thankful. I know each country and culture has a celebration in this regard. Try to minimize the regrets and accentuate the positives. As I said in the beginning, the vibe is very different this year, than last year and we will get through this. Happy Thanksgiving to all who will be celebrating and as always, thank you for your support of this small business. Your questions, comments and thoughts are always appreciated. Share the knowledge
